09 - Keithfield Plantation

Capt. Postell raided the British garrison at Keithfield Plantation, killed two British guards, two wounded, and captured two Surgeons, one Quartermaster, one Wagon-master, one steward, and twenty-five non-commissioned officers/privates. Fourteen wagons loaded with soldiers’ clothing and baggage were burned, along with twenty hogsheads of rum. They took seven other wagons and forty prisoners and retired to the Santee.
