08 - Wadboo Bridge

08 - Wadboo Bridge

Brigadier General Francis Marion sent out several patrols to seek out and destroy as many British supply bases/posts as they could. Capt John Postell, Jr., and two companies of Marion’s Brigade destroyed the British stores at Wadboo Bridge, including fifteen hogsheads of rum, a quantity of pork, flour, rice, salt, and turpentine. This group next surprised the depot at Keithfield Plantation, just northwest of Moncks Corner, on the same day.
